How we price tile repair
Prices start from £95. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We take into account:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The material and finish
- The type of damage
- How many items we do on one visit
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed price
You can normally get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:
- The material, if you know it
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Details of any past repairs
- A wider photo showing the whole tiled area
Upload a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, and tell us you are in Cambridge, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
How we handle tile repair in Cambridge
The tile stays where it is, so you don’t need to find a spare. A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will tell you. We regularly repair ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and floor and wall tiles, and the jobs we see most are drill holes from removed fittings and cracked floor tiles.
We guarantee the work for a year. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.
What about drill holes in tiles?

How the visit works
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Allow a morning or an afternoon from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.
- First the tile is cleaned and loose pieces removed.
- Next we fill the damage.
- The repair is levelled to the tile surface.
- The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
- We seal the repair to suit the finish of the tile.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a tile means breaking it out, tracking down a matching tile and risking the tiles around it. A repair keeps the original tile. Our tile repair starts from £95. We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Cambridge. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
What you get with us
- Free fixed quotes from pictures
- One visit for most repairs
- We’ll tell you if it’s not worth repairing
- No need to remove anything

DIY kit or professional repair?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Landlord and trade work in Cambridge
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. That means we can quote before you even visit the property, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
