Landlords, agents and businesses in New Holland

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, pictures and access details and we’ll arrange it.

How we handle tile repair in New Holland

We repair the tile in place, so there’s no need to hunt for a matching tile. A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will tell you. Whether it’s cracked floor tiles and damaged tile edges, we can help, whatever the material.

All our work comes with our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in North Lincolnshire. Take care with heavy items on repaired tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

How we price tile repair

Prices start from £95. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

How to get a fixed quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A photo taken from further back
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

What happens on the day

The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the job itself takes a few hours. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
  2. We fill the chip, crack or hole.
  3. We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
  4. The colour and pattern are recreated by hand.
  5. Finally we seal it to match the tile.

How to prepare

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day

Ask for a price

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Repairing versus replacing in New Holland

Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, finding a match and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Prices start from £95. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why New Holland clients choose us

  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Fixed prices from your photos
  • Generally one visit, start to finish

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

When a repair isn’t the answer

Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, for example:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.
