Book tile repair in Rew

Tile repair in Rew without replacing anything

We repair the tile in place, so there is no need to hunt for a matching tile. If a tile moves, it may need relaying first, and we’ll tell you. We regularly repair marble, floor and wall tiles and natural stone & granite, and common reasons people get in touch are cracked floor tiles and damaged tile edges.

Every job is backed for twelve months in Rew and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and clean with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Can I fix it myself?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

What happens on the day

Your technician turns up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your photos first. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. Most visits take a few hours, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
  2. Next we fill the damage.
  3. We shape the repair flush with the tile.
  4. We recreate the colour and pattern by hand.
  5. The repair is sealed to suit the tile’s finish.

How to prepare

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Keep a parking space free if you can

Advice

Questions from Rew

Are you a vetted contractor?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

What about drill holes in tiles?

Yes. Drill holes from old rails and shelves are a common job.

Is there a call-out fee?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.

How much does tile repair cost in Rew?

Repairs from £95. We give a fixed quote based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Is there any odour?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.

Is my repair covered?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Can pets and children be at home?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.

Repairing versus replacing in Rew

Swapping out a damaged tile means breaking it out, tracking down a matching tile and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it leaves the tile where it is. Our tile repair starts from £95. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Rew. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Why book with us

  • Fixed prices from your pictures
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do

What we can’t put right

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
  • Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
  • Whole walls of failing grout

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before you book.

What we work on

  • Marble
  • Natural stone & granite
  • Porcelain tiles
  • Floor and wall tiles
  • Ceramic tiles

What tile repair costs

Repairs from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. The main factors are:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • How many areas need work
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The type of damage

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Send pictures for a quote

Phone pictures are fine, there is no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • One picture of the entire tiled area
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

If you are in Rew and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Do you need tile repair in Rew?

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • Cracked floor tiles
  • Drill holes from removed fittings
  • Damaged tile edges
  • Discontinued tiles you cannot replace
