Tile repair at your home in Skeyton
A loose or rocking tile may need relaying first, and we will say so. We repair the tile in place, so you do not need to find a spare. If you’re dealing with damaged tile edges and discontinued tiles you can’t replace, we can help.
Every job is backed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. We return to put right any problem with the work. Avoid dropping heavy items on repaired floor tiles, and use a pH-neutral cleaner.

Can I fix it myself?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
Why repair rather than replace?
Swapping out a damaged tile involves breaking out the old tile, tracking down a matching tile and possibly cracking its neighbours. Repairing it keeps the original tile. Prices start from £95. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

How the visit works
You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.
- We start by cleaning the tile and clearing loose fragments.
- We fill the chip, crack or hole.
- We level and shape the repair to the tile surface.
- We match the colour and pattern by hand.
- Finally we seal it to match the tile.
How to prepare
- Open a window if you can
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Advice
Skeyton questions
How do I book?
Photos of the damage, a photo of the whole tiled area and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Will there be a smell?
A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.
Does someone need to be in?
We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
What about drill holes in tiles?
Yes. We fill drill holes from removed fittings.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
Are there extra charges for Skeyton?
We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.
Can you repair a cracked floor tile without replacing it?
Often, yes, as long as it’s still firmly stuck down.
Will the price change on the day?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Skeyton. What changes the price is:
- The colour and finish to match
- What kind of damage it is
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How many areas need work
A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Getting a price from pictures
It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:
- One picture of the entire tiled area
- Natural light rather than flash
- Any details about the material
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
Email us photos of the damage and one of the entire item, with your NR10 postcode, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.
When a repair isn’t the answer
Not everything can be repaired, and we will tell you before we start. We cannot fix:
- Loose or hollow tiles that need relaying
- Cracks caused by a moving floor, until the floor is fixed
- Whole walls of failing grout
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think.
Surfaces we repair
- Ceramic tiles
- Floor and wall tiles
- Natural stone & granite
- Porcelain tiles
- Marble
