Bath repair in Torfaen

Bath repair at your home in Torfaen

We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. Most baths can be used again the next day. We work on acrylic, pressed steel enamel and whirlpool & spa baths, and people most often call us about chips from dropped bottles, tiles or tools and cracks and holes in acrylic baths.

Nearly all the chips we see starts with something being dropped: bottles, shower heads, tiles and tools. On steel and cast iron baths, any chip down to the metal lets water in, and rust follows. Acrylic baths tend to crack if they aren’t properly supported, usually near the taps or the waste.

When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a few hours. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.

1. First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
2. The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
3. The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
4. We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
5. Once it has cured, usually by the next day, the bath is ready to use.
