Need bath re-enamelling in Broadmoor?

Work for landlords and builders

Hospitality businesses can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.

How we handle bath re-enamelling in Broadmoor

A re-enamelled bath looks and feels like a new one, without any of the disruption of replacing it. It suits anyone happy with the bathroom apart from the bath. We regularly repair pressed steel baths, acrylic baths and basins & shower trays, and the jobs we see most are brown or grey marks that don’t clean off and a coating lifting around the plughole.

Whatever the size of the job, you get the same one-year guarantee in Broadmoor and across Pembrokeshire.

How to look after the repair

Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts:

  • Stick to gentle, non-abrasive cleaners
  • Get any chip repaired quickly
  • Keep suction mats out of the bath
  • Wash away dyes and oils after use

Give the finish its full curing time before using the bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.

The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and any rust spreads underneath. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.

How the visit works

We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes a full day. We leave the room clean and you will know when it can be used.

  1. We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
  2. Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
  3. Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
  4. The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
  5. The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Let us know about parking or access

Getting a price

You do not need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. We don’t charge extra for travel to Broadmoor. The price comes down to:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The type of damage

The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

How to get a fixed quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A picture taken from further back

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos using our quote form or call us. We’ll say straight away whether it can be repaired.

Do you need bath re-enamelling in Broadmoor?

Hard water speeds up the wear, and gritty cleaners are the worst culprits.

Most people get in touch after spotting one of these:

  • Thin, worn enamel in places
  • An old resurfacing that is failing
  • An original cast iron bath that needs restoring
  • Enamel that is lost its shine and feels rough

What your quote should include

  • How the room is protected while they work
  • How soon you can use it again
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included

How to compare quotes

Why repair rather than replace?

Getting a cast iron bath out is hard work: it’s very heavy, may need breaking up, and the replacement can be costly. Re-enamelling avoids all of it. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.

Why us?

  • Colour-matched on site
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • One visit for most repairs
  • Fixed prices from your pictures

FAQs for Broadmoor

Can I get a quote without a visit?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the photos can’t show what we need.

Do you work in Broadmoor?

Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to Broadmoor from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

What does bath re-enamelling cost?

Prices start from £350. Every job gets a fixed quote based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Do I need to be at home?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Include photos of each item.

Does re-enamelling smell?

There is some smell while the coating is applied, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the finish cures.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted.

How long does re-enamelling last?

Look after it and it lasts. Avoid abrasive cleaners and suction mats.

Repairs by material

Roll-top and period baths

We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.

Pressed steel

Pressed steel baths take a new finish well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Rust around the waste is common on steel, so we check it carefully.
