Need bath re-enamelling in Eastrop?

What bath re-enamelling costs

Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Eastrop. The price comes down to:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The material and finish
  • How many areas need work

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Quotes from your photos

You can generally get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • Natural light rather than flash
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A photo taken from further back
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Bath re-enamelling in Eastrop without replacing anything

Re-enamelling is a one-day job for most baths. Nothing is disconnected or removed. We’re often asked to fix an old resurfacing that’s failing and thin, worn enamel in places, on acrylic baths, Victorian roll-tops and cast iron baths.

Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Why repair rather than replace?

Getting a cast iron bath out is hard work: it’s very heavy, may need breaking up, and the replacement can be costly. Re-enamelling avoids all of it. Prices start from £350. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

What you get with us

Eastrop: your questions answered

What do you need from me?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll take it from there.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Yes, regularly. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.

Can you do the outside of a roll-top?

Yes, roll-tops are a big part of our work. The inside is resurfaced, and we can refinish the outside as well.

What does bath re-enamelling cost?

Resurfacing from £350. We give a fixed price from your pictures. Send a close-up and a picture of the entire item and your postcode.

Are you accredited?

We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

Can you resurface a pink bath in white?

Yes, most people go for white. Tell us what you’d like when you ask for a quote.

Are there extra charges for Eastrop?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

The process

When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job normally takes the best part of a day. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
  2. Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
  3. Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
  4. We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
  5. Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

Get a quote

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

What a repair can’t fix

Not everything can be repaired, and we’ll tell you before we start. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
  • A bath that’s rusted through
  • A metal bath with a through crack

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.

What we work on

  • Basins & shower trays
  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Cast iron baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Pressed steel baths

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

Keeping it looking good

Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:

  • Have chips seen to early
  • Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
  • Keep toiletries on a shelf rather than in the bath
  • Don’t use the bath until it has fully cured

A quick rinse and wipe after use helps, particularly where water is hard, to stop limescale building up.

Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time. Resurfacing before they spread keeps it simpler.

Signs you need bath re-enamelling in Eastrop

The gloss on enamel is thin, and every scrub with an abrasive cleaner takes a little away. After years of use, the surface becomes porous and stains easily.

Clients generally contact us about:

  • A coating lifting around the plughole
  • A period or roll-top bath worth keeping
  • A bath that stays dull however much you clean it
  • Lots of chips and rust spots

What your quote should include

  • Who turns up on the day
  • How changes to the job are handled
  • How to look after the finish
  • If travel is included in the price
