For landlords and businesses
Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which matters when someone is living in the home.
Bath re-enamelling at your home in Harlyn
We don’t move the bath, so the taps, tiles and plumbing aren’t touched. Most baths are done in one visit, and can be used again the following day. We work on acrylic baths, Victorian roll-tops and basins & shower trays, and common reasons people get in touch are an outdated colour you’d like to change and a roll-top that’s seen better days.
Every job is backed for twelve months in Harlyn and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

How it works
There is not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take a full day, tidy-up included.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
- We key the surface and put on a bonding primer.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- We leave it to cure, and it’s normally ready the following day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Make sure the area is dry
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Keep a parking space free if you can
Getting a price
There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Harlyn
How soon can you come?
That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
Can you quote from pictures?
Generally, yes. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
Will the bath be moved?
No. It’s re-enamelled where it stands, so nothing else is disturbed.
What does bath re-enamelling cost?
Resurfacing from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before booking.
Is my repair covered?
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
Will there be a smell?
It depends on the job, but often a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.
What happens next?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
Yes. Stripping the old coating adds time, so it’s reflected in the quote.
Repair or replace in Harlyn?
There are times replacing is better: if the bath is cracked through, if you want a different size or shape, or if you’re refitting the whole room anyway. Otherwise, resurfacing usually wins. Prices start from £350. A repair normally costs much less than people expect, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.

What a repair cannot fix
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Holes rusted through the metal
- Problems we cannot see until an old finish comes off
- A bath split right through the body
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.
Materials we repair
- Cast iron baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Pressed steel baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Acrylic baths
Looking after it afterwards
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Rinse off hair dye, oils and bath bombs immediately
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
- Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
- Don’t leave a chip unrepaired
Rinse away dyes, oils and bath bombs straight after use, as they can stain. Fix dripping taps quickly.
Leave a peeling coating alone. Water gets under it and the damage spreads, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Pressed steel
Steel baths re-enamel well, once any rust has been treated. Steel frequently rusts by the plughole, so we check it carefully.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
