Bath re-enamelling at your home in Inver
A re-enamelled bath looks and feels like a new one, but without the cost and upheaval of a refit. It suits anyone happy with the bathroom apart from the bath. Our technicians work on pressed steel baths, cast iron baths and Victorian roll-tops, and common reasons people contact us are wear marks under the taps and enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough.
You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we’ll sort it.

Different materials, different repairs
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
When a repair is not the answer
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:
- A bath that is rusted through
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.
What we work on
- Victorian roll-tops
- Basins & shower trays
- Cast iron baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Acrylic baths
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacement only makes sense in a few cases: if the bath is cracked through, if you want a different size or shape, or if you’re refitting the whole room anyway. Otherwise, resurfacing normally wins. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

Common questions in Inver
Will there be a smell?
A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.
Can you change the colour of my bath?
Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.
Do I need to be at home?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Will the new finish last?
Look after it and it lasts. Gentle cleaning, no suction mats.
Do you need to take the bath out?
Not at all. We work on the bath in place, with the room masked and ventilated.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.
The process
There is not much you need to do on the day. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll take it from there. Most visits take a full day, including clearing up.
- The room is masked, protected and ventilated.
- Next we degrease the bath and fix chips and rust spots.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray on the new enamel finish in several coats.
- We leave it to cure, and it’s normally ready the next day.
Before we arrive
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
How to get a price
Most clients in Inver get their price from photos. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.
Related advice
Keeping it looking good
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Never use suction bath mats
- Get any chip repaired quickly
- Do not use the bath until it has fully cured
- Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
Wait for the curing time we give you before the first bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.
Leave a peeling coating alone. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so have it stripped and resurfaced.
Can I fix it myself?
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. There is no charge for travel to Inver. The price depends on:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- What kind of damage it is
- How many areas need work
- Whether we combine several jobs
Compared with replacing, repairing typically costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you’re paying for.
Getting a price from photos
Before you send photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- One picture of the whole bath
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Natural light rather than flash
You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
