Bath re-enamelling & resurfacing in Kitts End, Greater London
Full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing in Kitts End, carried out at your home and guaranteed for a year.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Lots of chips and rust spots
- A bath in a colour that no longer suits

Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are the classic candidate for re-enamelling. They’re built to last, and only the surface wears, so resurfacing gives them a new life.
Bath re-enamelling in Kitts End, done in place
The bath stays where it is, so the taps, tiles and plumbing aren’t touched. It usually takes one visit, with the bath ready to use the following day. We are frequently asked to fix brown or grey marks that don’t clean off and enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough, across acrylic baths, Victorian roll-tops and pressed steel baths.
You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

Repair or replace: which is better?
If you like your bathroom but not your bath’s surface, re-enamelling is the least disruptive fix. Nothing else is disturbed. Prices start from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
Why book with us
- We leave the room as we found it
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- Everything repaired in place
- Typically one visit, start to finish
Take a look at our prices page or bath cost comparison.
Looking after it afterwards
How the surface is treated afterwards matters:
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Don’t let dyes or oils sit on the finish
Rinse away dyes, oils and bath bombs straight after use, as they can stain. Fix dripping taps quickly.
Avoid scrubbing a dull bath with abrasive cleaners. It removes more of the surface.

Common questions in Kitts End
How long is the bath unusable?
One day for most baths and can be used the day after. We give you timings with the quote.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Just ensure the landlord agrees.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes, most people go for white. Tell us what you’d like when you ask for a quote.
Is my repair covered?
Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, so the repair is not disturbed while it cures.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first.
Is it messy?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
When we would advise against a repair
Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits:
- Leaking taps or wastes (a plumber’s job)
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
- A bath split right through the body
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

Do you need bath re-enamelling in Kitts End?
A dull surface stains and holds dirt, and scrubbing it wears it down further. At that stage, resurfacing is the fix.
The most common problems we’re called about are:
- An outdated colour you’d like to change
- A period or roll-top bath worth keeping
- A coating lifting around the plughole
- Wear marks under the taps
What your quote should include
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- How the colour is matched
- Who will actually do the work
- How long it needs to cure
DIY repairs versus a professional job
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.
How the visit works
We work cleanly and quietly, so you can carry on at home. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a full day. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to care for it.
- We mask and protect the room and ventilate it.
- The bath is cleaned, degreased and any chips or rust repaired.
- The surface is prepared and a bonding primer applied.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- We leave it to cure, and it’s usually ready the following day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Clear the area around the damage
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
Ask for a price
We price from photos so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.
