Bath Re-enamelling for Oglet homes
Bath re-enamelling across Oglet and nearby, typically in one visit.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A bath that stays dull however much you clean it
- An old resurfacing that is failing

Repair or replace: which is better?
There are times replacing is better: if the bath is cracked through, if you want a different size or shape, or if you are refitting the entire room anyway. Otherwise, resurfacing normally wins. Prices start from £350. Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Oglet. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How we handle bath re-enamelling in Oglet
After cleaning, repairing and priming, we spray on the new finish. Most of the work, and most of the durability, is in the preparation, and we take our time over it. We’re often asked to fix an outdated colour you’d like to change and brown or grey marks that don’t clean off, across Victorian roll-tops, pressed steel baths and cast iron baths.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after the visit.

Can I fix it myself?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
The process
We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes the best part of a day, and we leave the room as we found it.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
- Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

- Holes rusted through the metal
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Oglet: your questions answered
I rent my home. Can I book you?
We can work for tenants, landlords or agents. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
How long is the bath unusable?
One day for most baths and can be used the day after. We will confirm timings when we quote.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We review the pictures and send a fixed quote.
Can you fix a peeling bath coating?
In most cases. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
Will it make a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.
Is there a smell?
A little, during the work. We set up ventilation and the smell fades as it cures.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before.
What else we do in Oglet
What your bath is made of matters
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Roll-top and period baths
We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.
Signs you need bath re-enamelling in Oglet
Many baths we resurface have simply been well used. The body of the bath is typically perfectly sound.
You may need us if you’ve spotted:
- Chips and rust in more than one place
- A period or roll-top bath worth keeping
- A coating lifting around the plughole
- Stains that won’t shift

What affects the price in Oglet
Resurfacing from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:
- What the surface is made of
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- How easy the damage is to reach
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Getting a price from pictures
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Details of any past repairs
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- One sharp close-up of the damage
To get a price, send two or three photos using our quote form or call us. We will say right away if a repair is the right fix.
Looking after it afterwards
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. These habits help:
- Repair dripping taps early
- Store bottles off the bath
- Respect the curing time we give you
- Have chips seen to early
The first few days matter most: let it cure fully, then use mild cleaners only. After that, no abrasives and no suction mats.
The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and rust spots spread under the surface. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.
