Bath Re-enamelling for Old Coulsdon homes
Full bath re-enamelling and resurfacing for homeowners, landlords and businesses in Old Coulsdon. Free, fixed quotes from your pictures.
- Resurfacing from £350
- A bath that stays dull however much you clean it
- Lots of chips and rust spots

When a repair is not the answer
A repair is not always the answer, and we’d rather say so up front. We can’t fix:
- A bath that is rusted through
- A cast iron or steel bath that is cracked right through
- Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.
Surfaces we repair
- Pressed steel baths
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Cast iron baths
- Basins & shower trays
Bath re-enamelling in Old Coulsdon, done in place
Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which would be difficult and expensive to replace. Doing them in place keeps an original feature. If you’re dealing with stains that won’t shift and several chips and rust patches, we can normally put it right.
Whatever the size of the job, you get the same one-year guarantee.

Different materials, different repairs
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are the classic candidate for re-enamelling. The body lasts for generations; only the enamel wears, so a new finish makes them look new again.
Pressed steel
Pressed steel baths take a new finish well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Steel often rusts by the plughole, so we check it carefully.
Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
What affects the price in Old Coulsdon
Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed quote from pictures. These are the things that affect it:
- The type of damage
- How many areas need work
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- The material and finish
We do not add extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Quotes from your pictures
Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Please include:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- The material, if you know it
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.
Repair or replace in Old Coulsdon?
Replacing the bath means a plumber, removing a heavy bath, re-tiling or making good the walls and days without a bathroom. Resurfacing renews the entire surface without moving it. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

How it works
There is not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. The job generally runs to the best part of a day.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- The bath is left to cure and can generally be used the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Clear the area around the damage
- Keep a parking space free if you can
Getting a price
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.
