Bath re-enamelling in Park Bottom

Bath re-enamelling in Park Bottom, done in place

A re-enamelled bath looks and feels like a new one, but without the cost and upheaval of a refit. It’s ideal if you like your bathroom but not the state of the bath. Our technicians work on Victorian roll-tops, cast iron baths and acrylic baths, and people most frequently call us about a bath that stays dull however much you clean it and staining under the taps and around the waste.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll come back.

Repair or replace in Park Bottom?

A replacement frequently means several trades over several days. Re-enamelling is one technician, generally one day, with the bath back in use the following day. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.

Why us?

  • A fixed quote before you book
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • A year’s guarantee on all work

What your bath is made of matters

Acrylic

Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

Roll-top and period baths

We can resurface a roll-top inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.

Looking after it afterwards

Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:

  • Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
  • Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
  • A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
  • Don’t leave a chip unrepaired

Treat the new finish gently at first: let it cure fully, then use mild cleaners only. After that, no abrasives and no suction mats.

The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and rust spots spread under the surface. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.

Common questions in Park Bottom

Is there a guarantee?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.

Do you cover Park Bottom?

We do. Technicians travel to Park Bottom from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

What do you need from me?

Just pictures, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Can you make a coloured bath white?

Yes, white is the usual choice. Mention the colour you want when you send photos.

Are you accredited?

Yes, including CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

What bath re-enamelling costs

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How much damage there is
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Whether we combine several jobs

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your pictures is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Send photos for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Email us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you’re in Park Bottom, and we will reply with a fixed price.

How it works

Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow a full day. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
  2. Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
  3. Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
  4. We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
  5. Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures.

Before we arrive

  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

How to get a price

Call 0345 017 0787 or use the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire bath, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.

What we cannot put right

In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • A cast iron or steel bath that’s cracked right through
  • Problems we cannot see until an old finish comes off
  • A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Basins & shower trays
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Acrylic baths
  • Cast iron baths

Work for landlords and builders

If you manage property in Park Bottom, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll price them together.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
