Bath re-enamelling in Ringwood without replacing anything
We resurface cast iron, steel and acrylic baths, including roll-tops and period baths. The finish is sprayed on in several coats over a bonding primer, once the bath has been cleaned, repaired and prepared. Our repair technicians work on acrylic baths, basins & shower trays and Victorian roll-tops, and common reasons people contact us are thin, worn enamel in places and a bath in a colour that no longer suits.
Every repair is covered by a one-year guarantee.

Ringwood questions
How long will the bath be out of use?
Typically a day, then it’s ready to use the following day. Deeply pitted baths may need a second day.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.
How quickly can you book me in?
We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Can you repair several things at once?
Of course, and it typically saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.
Will there be fumes?
Yes, while we are applying the finish. Ventilation keeps it down, and it fades as the finish cures.
Does the bath have to be removed?
Not at all. Everything is done in your bathroom, with the room masked and ventilated.
Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths can be resurfaced too, using a system that bonds to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot.
Landlord and trade work in Ringwood
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.
How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually, from your photos. What matters most is:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- The type of damage
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
How to get a fixed quote
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Please include:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- A wider photo showing the whole bath
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
Most customers in Ringwood get their price from pictures. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Repair or replace in Ringwood?
Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Re-enamelling is one technician, usually one day, with the bath back in use the day after. Prices start from £350. A repair normally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

Keeping it looking good
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Avoid suction-cup mats
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Get any chip repaired quickly
Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, avoid suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.
Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.
Can I fix it myself?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.
When we would advise against a repair
To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
- Holes rusted through the metal
- A metal bath with a through crack
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before you book.

What we do, step by step
You do not need to empty the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we are doing. It typically takes the best part of a day, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray several coats of new enamel finish.
- Once cured, normally by the following day, the bath is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
