Bath re-enamelling in Rock without replacing anything
Resurfacing renews the whole surface of the bath without a refit. It’s the answer when the whole bath is tired rather than one spot. Typical jobs include lots of chips and rust spots and stains that won’t shift, on Victorian roll-tops, cast iron baths and acrylic baths.
Your repair is guaranteed for a year, as with every job we do.

Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Respect the curing time we give you
- Never use suction bath mats
- A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
- Don’t leave a chip unrepaired
Give the finish its full curing time before using the bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.
Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time and make the job bigger. Resurfacing before they spread keeps it simpler.
When a repair is not the answer
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Steel that has corroded right through
- Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.
What we work on
- Cast iron baths
- Pressed steel baths
- Basins & shower trays
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
Repairs by material
Cast iron
Re-enamelling suits cast iron baths perfectly. The body lasts for generations; only the enamel wears, so a new finish makes them look new again.
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Rock. The price reflects:
- How easy the damage is to reach
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- The colour and finish to match
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Rock. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Quotes from your photos
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- One picture of the entire bath
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- One sharp close-up of the damage
If you’re in Rock and want a price, the easiest route is photos: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacement only makes sense in a few cases: a cracked-through bath, a change of size or shape, or a full refit. In most other cases, resurfacing is the better choice. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Why us?
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- Normally one visit, start to finish
- Everything repaired in place
- A year’s guarantee on all work

DIY kit or professional repair?
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.
