Bath re-enamelling in Trostre without replacing anything
We don’t move the bath, so your taps, tiles and plumbing are left alone. It generally takes one visit, with the bath ready to use the following day. Our technicians work on Victorian roll-tops, pressed steel baths and basins & shower trays, and common reasons people get in touch are stains that won’t shift and an outdated colour you’d like to change.
Every repair is covered by a one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Carmarthenshire.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Use washing-up liquid and a soft cloth
- Fix dripping taps quickly
- Respect the curing time we give you
- Avoid suction-cup mats
Dry the bath after use if possible, and rinse off any bath products.
On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading and make the job bigger. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.
Repairs by material
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
What bath re-enamelling costs
Resurfacing from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we look at:
- How many areas need work
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- How hard the colour is to match
- How many items we do on one visit
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.
How to get a fixed price
You can take the pictures on your phone. Just ensure we can see:
- Something in shot to show the size
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
For a price in Trostre, photos are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

Questions from Trostre
How do I book?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Send pictures of everything together and you will get one combined price.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You will not be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Do you need to take the bath out?
No, it stays where it is. Everything is done in your bathroom, with the room protected and ventilated.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders.
Can you resurface a pink bath in white?
Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.
Can you do the outside of a roll-top?
Yes. We can do the inside and outside if you’d like.
Will it make a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Landlord and trade work in Trostre
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
How the visit works
Your technician turns up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a full day, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
- Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
- We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the day after.
How to prepare
- Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
Getting a price
You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed quote.

Repairing versus replacing in Trostre
Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Resurfacing takes one technician and typically a day. Prices start from £350. Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
