How we handle bath re-enamelling in Warner Estate

After re-enamelling, the bath has a smooth, glossy, new-looking surface, but without the cost and upheaval of a refit. It’s ideal if you like your bathroom but not the state of the bath. Typical jobs include a coating lifting around the plughole and a dull, rough surface that won’t come clean, on basins & shower trays, acrylic baths and pressed steel baths.

You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

How we price bath re-enamelling

Resurfacing from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How much damage there is
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Getting a price from photos

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:

  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A picture taken from further back
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Common questions in Warner Estate

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

Will the new finish last?

A well-prepared finish lasts a long time if it’s looked after. Avoid abrasive cleaners and suction mats.

How much does bath re-enamelling cost in Warner Estate?

Prices start from £350. We give a fixed price from your pictures. Send a close-up and a picture of the whole item and your postcode.

Do you work in Warner Estate?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Warner Estate. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Can a failed resurfacing be redone?

In most cases. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Mention it when you send pictures.

Do you cover the whole of Greater London?

The whole UK, including all of Greater London. Send your postcode with your pictures and we will offer you dates.

Can you change the colour of my bath?

Yes. We can resurface a coloured bath in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

Keeping it looking good

Nothing complicated is needed, just a few sensible habits:

  • Never use suction bath mats
  • A quick wipe after use keeps limescale away
  • Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
  • Do not let dyes or oils sit on the finish

Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, as they can stain. Fix dripping taps quickly.

Rust spots on a worn bath get worse with time and make the job bigger. Resurfacing before they spread keeps it simpler.

What your bath is made of matters

Pressed steel

Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.

Roll-top and period baths

Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.

Landlord and trade work in Warner Estate

Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Warner Estate use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it typically costs far less than a refit.

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we will arrange it.

Should you replace it?

A new bath means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the walls and tiles and days without a bathroom. Resurfacing gives the bath a new finish without moving it. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A repair normally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we will give you the exact figure.

Why us?

  • One price list for the whole UK

The process

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. Most jobs take most of the day, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
  2. We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
  3. We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
  4. The surface is keyed and primed for the new finish.
  5. The new finish is sprayed on in several coats and left to cure until the next day.

Before we arrive

  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Getting a price

You don’t need a survey visit. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.

Advice

Do you need bath re-enamelling in Warner Estate?

By the time a bath is a few decades old, it may have a mix of issues: dull areas, chips, rust and staining. Re-enamelling deals with all of them in one go.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Worn patches where water runs and sits
  • Stains that will not shift
  • A bath in a colour that no longer suits
  • A bath that stays dull however much you clean it

What your quote should include

  • What happens if the damage is worse than the pictures show
  • Whether the price covers travel
  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • Who turns up on the day
