For landlords and businesses

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Blairdardie as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it usually costs far less than a refit.

For anyone letting property in or around Blairdardie, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll price them together.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The material

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Getting a price from photos

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Please include:

  • A photo taken from further back
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Any details about the material

Upload pictures of the damage and one of the entire item, with your G13 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.

How it works

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. It usually takes two to three hours for most chips, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
  2. Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
  3. We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
  4. The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
  5. Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.

Advice

What a repair cannot fix

Some jobs aren’t right for a repair, for example:

  • Cracks in acrylic we cannot reach from underneath
  • Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
  • A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Materials we repair

  • Cast iron enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Whirlpool & spa baths

Why repair rather than replace?

If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and the bathroom stays as it is. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Keeping it looking good

Aftercare is simple:

  • If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
  • Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
  • Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface

Clean with mild, non-abrasive cleaners and try not to drop heavy bottles on the repair. Get any new chip seen to quickly, before rust can start.

If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and water can get through to the floor below.

Repairs by material

Pressed steel

Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Chips rust quickly on steel, particularly by the plughole, so early repairs matter.

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.

Can I fix it myself?

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
