About our bath repair in Bridgend
We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. Most baths can be used again the next day. We work on whirlpool & spa baths, roll-top & freestanding and acrylic, and the jobs we see most are rust spots around the plughole and chips caused by builders.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before booking.

Aftercare tips
Simple care helps the repair last. We recommend:
- Have new chips seen to early
- Rinse it down after each bath
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
A repaired bath needs no special treatment. Skip bleach and gritty creams and give it a rinse after each bath.
Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. Left for months, a small chip can grow into a large rust patch, so it pays to deal with it early.

Should you replace it?
When the bath is otherwise sound, repairing beats replacing. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and you keep the bath you chose. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Our bath repair starts from £95. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.
Why us?
- Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
- We leave the room as we found it

- Generally one visit, start to finish

Different materials, different repairs
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. There’s no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Honest limits
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- A whole bath that’s dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.

Bridgend questions
What happens if you find more damage?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.
Will the repair show?
The goal is a repair that blends in. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference.
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
Do you hold any accreditations?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
In most cases. Photos of the hole and the underside help us check.
Can tenants book a repair?
We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just make sure the landlord agrees.
I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?
Yes. We remove the old filler and start again. Mention it when you send photos.
What affects the price in Bridgend
Repairs from £95. There’s no area surcharge for Bridgend. What changes the price is:
- How much damage there is
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Whether we combine several jobs
We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Bridgend. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
Send photos for a quote
Before you send photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- The material, if you know it
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

DIY repairs versus a professional job
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
About our accreditations · Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.
