Bath Repair in Florence
Bath repair in Florence without the cost of replacing. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, then we come to you.
- Repairs from £95
- Snagging damage from a refit
- A failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting

Should I try a DIY kit first?
A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
Bath repair at your home in Florence
We see every kind of bath damage: dropped-bottle chips, plughole rust, acrylic cracks and impact holes. All of it is repaired where the bath stands with a one-year guarantee. We’re frequently asked to fix rust spots around the plughole and a kit repair that didn’t last, on pressed steel enamel, acrylic and cast iron enamel.
Whatever the size of the job, you get the same one-year guarantee.

How to care for the repair
Most damage we see is avoidable. These habits help:
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Rinse it down after each bath
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
Do not leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, because they can mark the enamel. And fix dripping taps promptly.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, so water can’t get in. Take it off before we arrive.
Work for landlords and builders
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Florence as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it typically costs far less than a refit.
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
Florence questions
Can you match an avocado or pink bath?
Yes. We mix the colour on the day to match, including older coloured suites.
Is there a call-out fee?
We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
Generally, yes, if we can reach behind it. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
Is a bath repair durable?
Yes, if it’s prepared properly and the bath is sound. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.
Do you cover Florence?
Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Florence. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
What about rust by the waste?
Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
Is it messy?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.
Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?
Frequently, yes, if we can reach the underside to reinforce it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a photo.
What we do, step by step
Once we are through the door, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes a morning or an afternoon, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- We leave it to cure; you can usually use the bath the next day.
Before we arrive
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
How to get a price

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Chips rust quickly on steel, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.
When a repair is not the answer
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:
- A steel bath rusted through
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.
Surfaces we repair
- Pressed steel enamel
- Acrylic
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Cast iron enamel
Why repair rather than replace?
People often assume a cracked or chipped bath has to come out. Generally it does not: a proper repair gives it years more use, without the cost and upheaval of replacing it. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
What you get with us

What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. We price every job individually. What matters most is:
- Doing more than one item at once
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- How much damage there is
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Quotes from your pictures
You can usually get a fixed price without us visiting. To help us price it:
- A picture taken from further back
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
Email us a photo of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, with your ST3 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
