Bath repair near Llandyrnog

About our bath repair in Llandyrnog

We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. You can typically use the bath the following day. Typical jobs include deep scratches in acrylic and damage done while the bathroom was being fitted, in whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding.

A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are covered after the visit.

Should you replace it?

If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and the bathroom stays as it is. If the entire surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Prices start from £95. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.

Different materials, different repairs

Pressed steel

Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Chips rust quickly on steel, particularly by the plughole, so early repairs matter.

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.

Keeping it looking good

So the finish stays in good condition:

  • Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
  • Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
  • Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
  • If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted

For the first few days, keep heavy bottles off the repaired spot. After that, normal gentle cleaning is fine.

Do not leave a chip on a steel or cast iron bath. Water gets to the metal and rust starts, turning a quick repair into a bigger one.

What we do, step by step

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll get on with it. Most visits take a few hours, depending on the damage, including clearing up.

  1. First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
  2. Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
  3. We mix the colour on the day to match your bath’s exact shade.
  4. We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
  5. The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Advice

DIY repairs versus a professional job

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, and the work is guaranteed.

Questions from Llandyrnog

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes, and it’s frequently cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders.

Can tenants book a repair?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Most of the time. Let us know what was used before.

Can you match an avocado or pink bath?

Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including older coloured suites.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Nearly always. If photos do not show enough, we will ask for another angle.

What about rust by the waste?

Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.

How do I book?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787.

Honest limits

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
  • Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
  • Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Acrylic
  • Whirlpool & spa baths

What bath repair costs

Prices start from £95. We give every job a fixed quote from photos. These are the things that affect it:

  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How many areas need work
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Unusual colours or finishes

We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Llandyrnog. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a fixed quote

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • One picture of the entire bath
  • Details of any past repairs
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Something in shot to show the size

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote.

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Letting agents often send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
