About our bath repair in Stanghow
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and the bath is back in use the day after. There is no need to book a plumber or tiler, because the bath does not move. Our technicians work on roll-top & freestanding, cast iron enamel and pressed steel enamel, and common reasons people get in touch are a kit repair that didn’t last and chips caused by builders.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Stanghow and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work.

How we price bath repair
Prices start from £95. There is no charge for travel to Stanghow. The price depends on:
- The colour and finish to match
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The type of damage
- Access to the area
It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.
Getting a price from pictures
Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Please include:
- A picture taken from further back
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.
Should you replace it?
A new bath costs more than the bath itself: taking out the old one, plumbing, tiling, a panel and redecorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

The process
On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a few hours. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the day after.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Related advice
Can I fix it myself?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
What we cannot put right
We would rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.
Surfaces we repair
- Acrylic
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Pressed steel enamel
- Cast iron enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
For landlords and businesses
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Stanghow as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it normally costs far less than a refit.
How to look after the repair
It’s all simple stuff:
- Avoid scourers, wire wool and gritty cream cleaners
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
- Store metal items away from the bath
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before using the bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.
Questions from Stanghow
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes, often. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.
Is my repair covered?
All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Do you cover the entire of Redcar and Cleveland?
The entire UK, including all of Redcar and Cleveland. Just include your postcode and we will confirm dates.
Can you quote from pictures?
In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.
Do I have to be there?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. After that, you can carry on with your day.
Is there any odour?
It depends on the job, but often a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum.
When to call us in Stanghow
The usual cause is something heavy dropped into the bath, and building work is a common culprit. Cracks in acrylic have a different cause: the bath isn’t properly supported, so it flexes under weight.
People normally call us after spotting something like this:
- A chipped rim or side
- A chip where the taps sit
- A cracked acrylic bath
- Rust by the waste and overflow
What your quote should include
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- When it can be used again
- If travel is included in the price
- What prep work is covered
