Non-slip bath coating in Ford

Why repair rather than replace?

The alternatives are replacing the bath or tray with a textured one, or relying on a mat, which traps water and needs cleaning. A coating adds grip to the bath you have. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and doing several items at once reduces it.

What you get with us

Non-slip bath coating in Ford, done in place

It’s popular with older people, families and holiday lets. It’s a clear, textured coating, so the bath looks much the same. Whether it’s safety for older or less mobile people and worn-out textured areas, we can typically put it right, whatever the material.

You are covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote. Clean with a soft brush and a mild cleaner. Don’t use abrasive pads on the textured area.

What happens on the day

We turn up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes a few hours, and the room is left clean and tidy.

  1. We start by degreasing the area where you stand.
  2. The area to be treated is masked out.
  3. The clear textured coating is applied.
  4. We remove the masking for a neat edge.
  5. We leave it to cure, normally overnight.

How to prepare

  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

When a repair isn’t the answer

A repair is not right for every job, including:

  • Surfaces that are already damaged or peeling (these need repairing first)
  • Textured areas still wet or recently cleaned with oily products
  • Outdoor surfaces

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

Materials we repair

  • Resurfaced baths
  • Acrylic baths
  • Shower trays
  • Enamelled baths
  • Wet room floors (ask us)

Landlords, agents and businesses in Ford

If you manage property in Ford, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Just send photos for each address and we’ll price them together.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
