About bath repair in BR3
You don’t need a new bath because of a chip. Our technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, with the colour mixed on site. We regularly repair pressed steel enamel, roll-top & freestanding and whirlpool & spa baths, and common reasons people contact us are scratches you can feel with a fingernail and chips under the taps.
Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and tidy away. Plan for a few hours, depending on the damage from start to finish. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and how to care for it.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the day after.
What you’ll pay
Prices start from £95. Our prices are the same across the UK, so there is no premium for BR3. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
Why book with us

Signs you need bath repair
Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and building work is a common culprit. Acrylic baths crack for a different reason: poor support underneath, so the bath flexes when it’s full.
Most people get in touch after spotting something like this:
- Hairline or through cracks in acrylic
- Snagging damage from a refit
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- Rusty patches near the plughole
Can I fix it myself?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.
Honest limits
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
- A steel bath rusted through
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
Keeping it looking good
Aftercare is simple, and it makes a real difference:
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
- Do not leave a fresh chip for long
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before using the bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, to keep water out. Remove it before the repair.
For landlords and businesses
We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Greater London and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
Questions from BR3
Will I be able to see the repair?
The goal is a repair that blends in. How well it disappears depends on the condition of the rest of the bath.
Do the materials smell?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working.
What happens after I send photos?
You get a fixed price and available dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.
Can rust on a bath be repaired?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. The rust is cut back to clean metal and sealed before we fill and finish it.
How do I get a price for bath repair in BR3?
Repairs from £95. Every job gets a fixed price based on photos of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your BR3 postcode.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.
How long before I can use the bath?
Usually the next day. We will tell you the exact curing time when we finish.
