Our bath repair service in L3
We have repaired just about every kind of bath damage: chips from dropped bottles, rust round the plughole, cracks in acrylic and holes from falling tools. Each is repaired in place. We work on roll-top & freestanding, cast iron enamel and acrylic, and the jobs we see most are rust spots around the plughole and a cracked acrylic bath.
It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, protect the area, then carry out the work, which normally takes a few hours, depending on the damage. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
Pricing in L3
Our bath repair starts from £95. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Why book with us

Getting a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
Around Everton
Locally, our jobs take us to homes close to Whitefield Primary School, St John Chrysostom and North Liverpool Academy. Other local landmarks include Archbishop Blanch School (0.9 miles south), The Lyceum (1.2 miles south-west), The Brunel pub (less than half a mile north-east) and Everton Park (less than half a mile west). For rail, the closest station is Liverpool Lime Street station, roughly 0.9 miles south-west of the centre. A little further out are Merseyside Museum of Labour History (0.9 miles south-west) and Netherfield (under half a mile north). Green spaces nearby include New Ferry Butterfly Park and Bidston Hill.
Keeping it looking good
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Have new chips seen to early
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
There is nothing special to do after a repair, beyond gentle cleaning. Skip bleach and gritty creams.
Until we visit, a strip of waterproof tape over the damage helps, to keep water out. Remove it before the repair.
Should you replace it?
Think about the hidden costs of a new bath: taking out the old one, plumbing, tiling, a panel and redecorating. With a repair, it’s one visit and one price.

When we’d advise against a repair
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
- Cracks in acrylic we cannot reach from underneath
What affects the price in L3
Prices start from £95. We don’t charge extra for travel to L3. The price comes down to:
- How much damage there is
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Unusual colours or finishes
- The type of damage
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
How to get a fixed quote
We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:
- A wider photo showing the whole bath
- Natural light rather than flash
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
Email us photos of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you’re in L3, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
Signs you need bath repair
Nearly all the chips we see start with something being dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On enamelled baths, any chip down to the metal lets water in, and rust follows.
Look out for any of the following:
- Chips under the taps
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- Impact holes in acrylic
- Chips along the edge of the bath
L3 questions
Can pets and children be at home?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.
When can I have a bath again?
Normally by the following day, though it depends on what we’ve done.
What about rust by the waste?
Yes. We remove the rust and loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
Will you leave a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.
Can you redo an old repair?
Yes. We take out the old repair and do it properly. Mention it when you send photos.
