Our bath repair service in L7
A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. You can generally use the bath the following day. We regularly repair pressed steel enamel, cast iron enamel and roll-top & freestanding, and common reasons people get in touch are snagging damage from a refit and a chip where the taps sit.
We turn up at the time we agreed with you, introduces themselves and checks the damage against your pictures first. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. Most visits take a morning or an afternoon, and the room is left clean and tidy.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the next day.
What you’ll pay
Prices start from £95. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
What you get with us
- Everything repaired in place
- Fixed prices from your pictures
- CHAS and Constructionline accredited

What a repair can’t fix
We would rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
What bath repair costs
Repairs from £95. We give every job a fixed price from pictures. These are the things that affect it:
- What kind of damage it is
- Doing more than one item at once
- The material
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You will see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.
Quotes from your pictures
Most quotes are done from pictures alone. To help us price it:
- Details of any past repairs
- A photo taken from further back
- What it’s made of, if you know
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, add your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely and work on a clean, dry surface, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
Materials and what they mean for the repair
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Repairing versus replacing
Many people think a damaged bath means a new one. Usually it doesn’t: a repair keeps the bath in service for years, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement.
Questions to ask before booking
- What prep work is covered
- How soon you can use it again
- How the room is protected while they work
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
L7 questions
Is it safe with children and pets around?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We will let you know when it’s safe to use again.
Is a cracked acrylic bath repairable?
Generally, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a picture.
