Bath repair at your home in PA1
A damaged bath doesn’t have to mean a new bathroom. Our technicians fill, shape and refinish the damage, mixing the colour on the day so the repair is hard to spot. Our repair technicians work on whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and pressed steel enamel, and people most frequently call us about hairline or through cracks in acrylic and rusty patches near the plughole.
When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job normally takes a few hours, depending on the damage. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the following day.
Pricing in PA1
Our bath repair starts from £95. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

What’s near Ferguslie Park
Locally, our jobs take us to homes close to Castlehead High School, Paisley and Gallows Green, among other places. The nearest railway station is Paisley St James station, roughly 0.5 miles north-east of the centre. Further afield, we also cover the area around Riccartsbar Hospital (1.1 miles south-east) and Stanely Castle (1.7 miles south). For a walk, there is Walls Hill and Walls Loch.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
Common problems we fix in PA1
Nearly all the chips we see start with something being dropped: a shampoo bottle, a shower head, a tile or a tool during a refit. On steel and cast iron baths, a chip that reaches the metal will start to rust.
Most people get in touch after spotting one of these:
- Rusty patches near the plughole
- Deep scratches in acrylic
- Chips caused by builders
- Impact holes in acrylic
Honest limits
In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. There’s no area surcharge for PA1. The price reflects:
- How many areas need work
- Unusual colours or finishes
- The type of damage
- How many items we do on one visit
Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.
Quotes from your photos
Phone photos are fine, there is no need for anything special. Ensure they show:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Any details about the material
Send us pictures of the damage and a wider shot of the whole item, with your PA1 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.
Keeping it looking good
A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Don’t scrub with anything abrasive
Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.
Stop using the bath if a crack lets water through until it’s repaired. Leaks under a bath can damage floors and ceilings.
PA1: your questions answered
Do you work in PA1?
Yes. We work across the UK and come to PA1. Send us photos for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including older coloured suites.
Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?
Generally, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Take off the bath panel and check, or send us a picture.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we will say so.
Will it make a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.
Do the materials smell?
Expect a mild smell while we’re working, which fades afterwards.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes, and it’s often cheaper. Just add the extra items to your photos and you’ll get one combined price.
