How bath repair works in PE15
Whatever the damage, the aim is the same: a smooth, solid repair that blends in. We prepare the area properly, fill and shape it, then match the colour and gloss so it sits flush with the rest of the bath. We are frequently asked to fix rust by the waste and overflow and a chipped rim or side, in cast iron enamel, roll-top & freestanding and whirlpool & spa baths.
Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so you know exactly what we’re doing. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. Allow a few hours, depending on the damage, and we’ll tell you if anything changes.
- First, the area is cleaned and any loose enamel or rust is removed.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- Once it has cured, normally by the next day, the bath is ready to use.
Prices in PE15
Prices start from £95. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for PE15. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a price
No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.
Near you in March
In March, that means homes near Burrowmoor Primary School, Church of St Peter and Neale-Wade Academy. The nearest railway station is March station, about 0.7 miles north. A little further out are March And District Museum (less than half a mile south). For a walk, there is Norwood Road.
Should you replace it?
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and the bathroom stays as it is. Where the whole surface is tired, we may suggest re-enamelling instead.

What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. There’s no charge for travel to PE15. The price depends on:
- The colour and finish to match
- How much damage there is
- Access to the area
- Doing more than one item at once
The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking, with no extras added later.
How to get a fixed price
You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:
- Any details about the material
- Where you are, by postcode
- Details of any past repairs
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
Send us pictures of the damage and one of the whole item, and tell us you’re in PE15, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
How to care for the repair
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Give the bath a quick rinse after use
- Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
Clean with mild, non-abrasive cleaners and avoid dropping heavy items on the repaired area. Deal with new chips early, before rust can start.
A small chip is a quick job. Left alone, they stain and can rust, so early repair saves time and money.
Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Exposed steel rusts fast, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. There is no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
What we are called out for in PE15
Rust tends to begin where water collects, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Water on bare metal causes rust that creeps under the surrounding enamel.
Most people contact us after spotting something like this:
- Snagging damage from a refit
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- A chip where the taps sit
Questions from PE15
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.
Can you fix rust around the plughole?
Yes, it’s one of the most common repairs we do. The rust is cut back to clean metal and sealed before we fill and finish it.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
Are there extra charges for PE15?
No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
Your quote covers the damage in the photos. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.
Is a bath repair permanent?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It carries our one-year guarantee.
