About bath repair in PR1
A repair fixes just the damaged area and blends it into the rest of the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath. You can usually use the bath the following day. Our technicians work on roll-top & freestanding, pressed steel enamel and cast iron enamel, and common reasons people contact us are damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and a kit repair that didn’t last.
On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job usually takes a morning or an afternoon. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Loose enamel, rust and dirt are removed so the repair can bond.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
What you will pay
Our bath repair starts from £95. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.
Why book with us
- Fixed prices from your photos
- Everything repaired in place
- One visit for most repairs
- Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
How to get a price

Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
Common problems we fix in PR1
Rust tends to begin where water collects, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Once water reaches the steel or iron, rust spreads under the enamel.
Customers usually contact us about:
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- Snagging damage from a refit
Looking after it afterwards
Simple care helps the repair last. We recommend:
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
- Store metal items away from the bath
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
Give the repair the full curing time we recommend before running a bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so early repair keeps the cost down.
Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. Prices are worked out job by job. The main factors are:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- What the surface is made of
- How much damage there is
- Doing more than one item at once
A repair typically costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.
Send pictures for a quote
We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what to send:
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
If you are in PR1 and want a price, photos are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.
For landlords and businesses
For anyone letting property in or around PR1, we will quote for several properties at once. Send pictures for each one and we’ll price them together.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Lancashire and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
PR1 questions
Is a bath repair durable?
It should, as long as the bath is firm and the area was prepared well. It carries our one-year guarantee.
Can a cracked acrylic bath be fixed?
Typically, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a picture.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders across Lancashire.
Do the materials smell?
Some materials have a smell while they’re applied. It fades as everything cures.
Can I get a quote without a visit?
Usually, yes. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed price without visiting.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
How do I book?
A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.
