Whether it’s a bath that stays dull however much you clean it and staining under the taps and around the waste, we can help, whatever the material.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a bath can take several days across several trades. Resurfacing takes one technician and usually a day, with the bath back in use the day after. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • We will tell you if it’s not worth repairing
  • Work done at your home or business
  • Everything repaired in place
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

Different materials, different repairs

Cast iron

Re-enamelling suits cast iron baths perfectly. The body lasts for generations; only the enamel wears, so resurfacing gives them a new life.

Acrylic

We resurface acrylic baths as well, using a system that bonds to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported for the finish to last.

Can I fix it myself?

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

The process

We turn up at the time we agreed with you and looks over the damage before anything else. The floor and nearby surfaces are covered before any work starts. The work itself takes the best part of a day, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
  2. We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
  3. Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
  4. We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
  5. Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the day after.

Before we arrive

  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

Work for landlords and builders

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access and we’ll handle the rest.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Common questions in Elslack

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Will the bath be moved?

No, it stays where it is. We work on the bath in place, with the room protected and ventilated.

How do I get a price for bath re-enamelling in Elslack?

Prices start from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You will get a fixed figure before booking.

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit typically costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

What do you need from me?

Just photos, your postcode and a contact number. On the day, we only need access to the room.

Is there a guarantee?

Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We’ll explain what it covers when we quote.

Can you repair something that is been repaired before?

Yes, we often do. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

In nearly every case. If pictures don’t show enough, we will ask for another angle.

Keeping it looking good

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Store bottles off the bath
  • Wash away dyes and oils after use
  • A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
  • Keep suction mats out of the bath

Wait for the curing time we give you before the first bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.

The longer worn enamel is left, the rougher it gets, and any rust spreads underneath. Acting earlier keeps the preparation simpler.
