Bath Re-enamelling for Earby homes
Problem with your bath in Earby? We repair it in place, match it on site and guarantee the work for a year.
- Resurfacing from £350
- Staining under the taps and around the waste
- A dull, rough surface that will not come clean

Bath re-enamelling in Earby, done in place
When a bath is structurally fine but worn out on the surface, resurfacing is normally the best value. There is no removal, plumbing or tiling involved. If you’re dealing with a bath that stays dull however much you clean it and several chips and rust patches, we can typically put it right, on Victorian roll-tops, acrylic baths and basins & shower trays alike.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll sort it.

Repairs by material
Roll-top and period baths
Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, and the outside can be refinished too.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths can be resurfaced too, using a system that bonds to acrylic. The bath needs to be firm and well supported.
What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price is based on:
- What the surface is made of
- How much damage there is
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- How many items we do on one visit
The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.
Getting a price from photos
Phone photos are fine. Just ensure we can see:
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
If you’re in Earby and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
Landlord and trade work in Earby
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Earby as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.
Common problems we fix in Earby
Enamel’s shine is only skin deep, and every scrub with an abrasive cleaner takes a little away. Eventually the surface turns porous and stains.
Get in touch if you’ve noticed:
- A coloured bath you want in white
- Worn patches where water runs and sits
- Several chips and rust patches
- A period or roll-top bath worth keeping
What to look for in a quote
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- What aftercare is recommended
- How the colour is matched
- What happens if they find more damage
DIY kit or professional repair?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
When a repair is not the answer
In fairness, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:
- A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
- Steel that has corroded right through
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.
Surfaces we repair
- Pressed steel baths
- Acrylic baths
- Cast iron baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Basins & shower trays
How the visit works
We turn up when we said we would and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before any work starts. Most visits take a full day, and we leave the room as we found it.
- We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
- Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
- Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the following day.
Before we arrive
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Have a window or extractor fan available
How to get a price
For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Add a line about what happened and your postcode, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Aftercare tips
Good habits make a big difference to how long a repair lasts. Here’s what we suggest:
- Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
- Fix dripping taps quickly
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
Wait for the curing time we give you before the first bath. Then, gentle cleaning with a soft cloth is enough.
Leave a peeling coating alone. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so have it stripped and resurfaced.
