How it works
Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. We mask off everything nearby, the job takes a full day, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.
- The bathroom is protected and ventilation set up.
- Old sealant is cut out and the bath is deep cleaned.
- Chips, rust and pitting are repaired.
- We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures.
Before we arrive
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Bath re-enamelling in Paddock, done in place
We don’t move the bath, so the taps, tiles and plumbing aren’t touched. Most baths are done in one visit, and can be used again the next day. Our technicians work on acrylic baths, Victorian roll-tops and cast iron baths, and the jobs we see most are a coating lifting around the plughole and a bath in a colour that no longer suits.
Every repair comes with a one-year guarantee.

Paddock: your questions answered
Can you re-enamel a roll-top bath?
Yes. Inside and out.
How long is the bath unusable?
Usually one day, with the bath ready the following day. A badly pitted bath can need a second day.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Of course. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before and we will plan for it.
How do I book?
Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.
Do you need to take the bath out?
No. It’s re-enamelled where it stands, so nothing else is disturbed.
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
The price is fixed for what the pictures show. If there is more, we will tell you before starting.
When can you do it?
Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
When to call us in Paddock
The gloss on enamel is thin, and every scrub with an abrasive cleaner takes a little away. After years of use, the surface becomes porous and stains easily.
Most people get in touch when they notice one of these:
- A peeling or bubbling previous coating
- A dull, rough surface that will not come clean
- Thin, worn enamel in places
- Staining under the taps and around the waste

Repair or replace in Paddock?
A refit takes several trades and several days. Resurfacing is one technician, normally in a day, and the bath can be used the day after. Prices start from £350. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.
Keeping it looking good
Looking after the surface is easy:
- Don’t leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
- Do not leave a chip unrepaired
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
Avoid hair dye, bath bombs and oils sitting on the surface, because they can mark the finish. Repair dripping taps promptly.
If a previous coating is starting to peel, do not pick at it. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.
What a repair cannot fix
We’ll always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair will not do:
- Steel that has corroded right through
- Plumbing leaks, which need a plumber
- Anything hidden under an old coating, until we remove it
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.
Surfaces we repair
- Basins & shower trays
- Victorian roll-tops
- Cast iron baths
- Acrylic baths
- Pressed steel baths
What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. We do not charge extra for travel to Paddock. The price comes down to:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How hard the colour is to match
- The size and number of damaged areas
No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Quotes from your pictures
Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- One picture of the whole bath
- Natural light rather than flash
Upload pictures of the damage and one of the whole item, with your TN25 postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
