Need bath re-enamelling in Tibbermore?

What we cannot put right

We’d rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • Acrylic that moves when you stand in it
  • Holes rusted through the metal
  • A cast iron or steel bath that is cracked right through

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Acrylic baths
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Cast iron baths
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Victorian roll-tops

Bath re-enamelling in Tibbermore without replacing anything

Many of the baths we re-enamel are period roll-tops, which are heavy, hard to move and costly to replace. Resurfacing them in place keeps the original bath. We regularly repair Victorian roll-tops, basins & shower trays and acrylic baths, and the jobs we see most are a bath that stays dull however much you clean it and a peeling or bubbling previous coating.

Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Tibbermore and across Perth and Kinross.

How we price bath re-enamelling

Resurfacing from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Tibbermore. The price reflects:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • What kind of damage it is
  • Doing more than one item at once

There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Send pictures for a quote

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Any details about the material
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A wider photo showing the whole bath

Send us a picture of the damage and a wider shot of the entire item, and tell us you’re in Tibbermore, and we’ll come back with a fixed quote.

Different materials, different repairs

Acrylic

We resurface acrylic baths as well, with a coating system suited to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot for the finish to last.

Pressed steel

Steel baths re-enamel well, as long as any rust is dealt with first. Steel often rusts by the plughole, so we check it carefully.

Tibbermore questions

Will the price change on the day?

We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

What information do you need?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole bath and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes, for a year. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

Do I have to be there?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before and we’ll plan for it.

Do you do work for letting agents?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners across Perth and Kinross.

Do you cover Tibbermore?

Yes. We work across the UK and come to Tibbermore and the rest of Perth and Kinross. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How long will the bath be out of use?

One day for most baths, ready the day after. We give you timings with the quote.

Should you replace it?

When the bathroom is fine apart from the bath’s finish, resurfacing is the simplest answer. Nothing else is disturbed. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

What happens on the day

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, then carry out the work, which normally takes a full day. If anything looks different from your photos, we will talk to you before going ahead.

  1. First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
  2. Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
  3. We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
  4. We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
  5. The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.

Keeping it looking good

So the finish stays in good condition:

  • Respect the curing time we give you
  • A dripping tap should be fixed promptly
  • Do not let dyes or oils sit on the finish
  • Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent

Rinse the bath and wipe it over after use, particularly where water is hard, so limescale can’t build up.

If a previous coating is starting to peel, do not pick at it. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so have it stripped and resurfaced.
