Bath repair in Kingsley Holt without replacing anything
A typical bath repair is a few hours’ work, and you can typically bathe again the next day. You won’t need a plumber or tiler, because nothing is disconnected. Typical jobs include rust by the waste and overflow and cracks in an acrylic bath, across roll-top & freestanding, whirlpool & spa baths and pressed steel enamel.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you’re not left on your own once we have gone.

How it works
We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes a few hours in most cases. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.

Advice
What else we do in Kingsley Holt
Landlords, agents and businesses in Kingsley Holt
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. Several plots can be done in one visit to keep costs down.
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We hold CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accreditations.
Different materials, different repairs
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, in much the same way.
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.

Common problems we fix in Kingsley Holt
Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and building work is a common culprit. Cracks in acrylic have a different cause: poor support underneath, so the bath flexes when it’s full.

DIY kit or professional repair?
If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

What a repair can’t fix
Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- A steel bath rusted through
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

Repairing versus replacing in Kingsley Holt
A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it takes one visit, and nothing else in the room changes. Prices start from £95. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Keeping it looking good
To keep it looking its best for years:
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
Don’t leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, because they can mark the enamel. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.
Rust under enamel spreads surprisingly quickly. A chip the size of a fingernail can become a much larger patch if it’s left for months, so it pays to deal with it early.
