Bath Repair in Northedge
We travel to Northedge for chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths. Nothing is taken out, and the work is guaranteed.

- Deep scratches in acrylic

What we cannot put right
Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- A steel bath rusted through
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.

Bath repair in Northedge, done in place
Repairing baths is what we do most. A chip by the taps, a crack in the base and a rust spot by the plughole are all repaired in place, generally in a single visit. Our technicians work on roll-top & freestanding, cast iron enamel and acrylic, and the jobs we see most are damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and holes from dropped items.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months, and the guarantee is the same wherever you live. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Common questions in Northedge
Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?
Yes. We mix the colour on the day to match, including older coloured suites.
What do you need from me?
Photos of the damage, a photo of the entire bath and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. The rest of the house is unaffected.
When can I have a bath again?
Generally within a day, depending on the repair.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
We are happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Get your landlord’s agreement first.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before.
What happens next?
We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If we need another angle, we’ll ask.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a bath rarely stops at the bath: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, a new panel is often needed, and the plumbing has to be disconnected and refitted. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Prices start from £95. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book.
Why us?
- Colour mixed on the day to match
- Work done at your home or business
- A year’s guarantee on all work
- Everything repaired in place

The process
We begin by going over the job with you, so there are no surprises. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. You can expect it to take two to three hours for most chips, and we will keep you posted as we go.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Ensure the area is dry
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Keep a parking space free if you can

Landlord and trade work in Northedge
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets cannot afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Northedge as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it usually costs far less than a refit.
Keeping it looking good
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Keep metal cans and razors off the surface
- Do not scrub with anything abrasive
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
There’s nothing special to do after a repair, just sensible cleaning. Avoid bleach-based and gritty cleaners and rinse after use.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, so water can’t get in. Take it off before we arrive.
What we are called out for in Northedge
A cracked acrylic bath usually wasn’t supported properly. Legs that aren’t adjusted, a missing cradle or a soft floor let the bath move until it cracks.
Keep an eye out for any of the following:
- Scratches you can feel with a fingernail
- Impact holes in acrylic
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- Rust spots around the plughole

Repairs by material
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s what we repair.
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, just like other baths.
DIY kit or professional repair?
A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
