Bath repair at your home in Overseal
Whether your bath is steel, cast iron or acrylic, we can repair it. Each material is repaired a little differently: rust is treated on metal baths, while cracks in acrylic are reinforced from underneath. Typical jobs include snagging damage from a refit and an old repair that has yellowed or come loose, on pressed steel enamel, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding.
Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.
Keeping it looking good
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
- Keep abrasive pads and gritty cleaners away from the bath
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before running a bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
Stop using the bath if a crack lets water through. Leaks under a bath can damage floors and ceilings.
Why repair rather than replace?
When the bath is otherwise sound, repairing beats replacing. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and the bathroom stays as it is. If the entire surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we’ll tell you. Our bath repair starts from £95. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Do you need bath repair in Overseal?
Many chips happen while the bathroom is being fitted. Tools, tiles and fittings get dropped into the bath, frequently before anyone notices. We repair snagging damage like this regularly.
The most common problems we are called about are:
- Rust spots around the plughole
- Scratches you can feel with a fingernail
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
- Snagging damage from a refit
Questions to ask before you book
- Whether the price covers travel
- How soon you can use it again
- What prep work is covered
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
When we would advise against a repair
In fairness, some problems need a different fix:
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
If in doubt, send pictures and we’ll say what we think before you book.
What we work on
- Cast iron enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Acrylic
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Pressed steel enamel
What your bath is made of matters
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They don’t rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is what we repair.
Work for landlords and builders
We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, putting right damage done during fitting. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Overseal as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.

What we do, step by step
We work cleanly and quietly. We protect the area first, then the work takes a morning or an afternoon. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage, and any rust is treated.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.
Preparing for the visit
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Clear the area around the damage
- Let us know which floor the room is on
