Bath Repair for Edge homes
Our technicians come to Edge for chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths. Everything is done in place, with a one-year guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- Chips caused by builders

How to look after the repair
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- A dripping tap stains enamel, so fix it early
- Do not scrub with anything abrasive
Don’t leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, because they can mark the enamel. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.
If water is getting through a crack, stop using the bath. Water under the bath can damage the floor and the ceiling below.
Bath repair in Edge, done in place
Most of our bath repairs take a few hours, and the bath is back in use the next day. There’s no need to book a plumber or tiler, because nothing is disconnected. If you are dealing with deep scratches in acrylic and holes from dropped items, we can usually put it right, on acrylic, pressed steel enamel and whirlpool & spa baths alike.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we’ll explain exactly what it covers when we quote.

Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, finished with fired enamel. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, which makes it well worth repairing.
Do you need bath repair in Edge?
Rust tends to begin where water collects, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Once water reaches the steel or iron, rust spreads under the enamel.
It’s worth getting a quote if you see:
- A chip where the taps sit
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- Rust spots around the plughole
- Snagging damage from a refit

- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below

Edge: your questions answered
Are there extra charges for Edge?
We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.
When can I have a bath again?
Most baths can be used the next day. We confirm the time before we leave.
What areas do you cover?
The entire UK, including all of Gloucestershire. Send your postcode with your photos and we’ll confirm dates.
Does someone need to be in?
Someone needs to let us in and show us the job. You don’t need to watch us work.
Do you repair coloured baths?
Yes, coloured baths are no problem. We tint the finish to your bath on site.
What happens after I send photos?
We come back with a fixed quote. There is no obligation to book.
How invisible is a bath repair?
On a bath in good condition, a colour-matched repair is very hard to spot. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so mention it when you send pictures.
DIY repairs versus a professional job
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can make a small mark look better. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is typically cheaper.
Work for landlords and builders
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Edge use us as well as homeowners. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.

Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. There is no area surcharge for Edge. What changes the price is:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The colour and finish to match
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Doing more than one item at once
The price reflects the work involved, not where you live. The full price is agreed before you book, with no extras added later.
Send photos for a quote
The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- Something in shot to show the size
For a price in Edge, pictures are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.
What we do, step by step
Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so there are no surprises. After that, protection goes down around the work area and the work begins. Allow two to three hours for most chips.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- The colour is mixed on the spot to match your bath.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- We leave it to cure; you can normally use the bath the next day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Make sure the area is dry
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Let us know which floor the room is on
