Bath repair at your home in Woodside
Bath repair is our most common job. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all fixed without removing the bath, generally in a single visit. Whether it’s chips under the taps and rust spots around the plughole, we can normally put it right, on cast iron enamel, roll-top & freestanding and acrylic alike.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Questions from Woodside
Will I be able to see the repair?
On a bath in good condition, a colour matched repair is very hard to spot. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.
When can you do it?
We will give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.
Is there a call-out fee?
We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.
When can I have a bath again?
Normally by the following day, depending on the repair.
Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?
In most cases. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so we need access under the bath.
Can you fix rust around the plughole?
Yes. We remove the rust and loose enamel, seal and fill the area, then colour-match the finish.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Include pictures of each item.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before and we’ll plan for it.
Do you need bath repair in Woodside?
A bath gets knocked about more than you’d think: bottles, shower heads and razors are dropped every day, and taps and wastes are tightened against the surface. Over time, chips and rust spots are almost inevitable.
Common reasons people in Woodside contact us are:
- Damage done while the bathroom was being fitted
- Rusty patches near the plughole
- Chips under the taps
- Scuffs and scratches in the surface
Before booking anyone

Landlords, agents and businesses in Woodside
We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we’ll arrange it.
For anyone letting property in or around Woodside, we will quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we will come back with a combined price.
Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
Why repair rather than replace?
For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It costs far less than a new bath plus fitting, it takes one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Our bath repair starts from £95. There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Repairs by material
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, in much the same way.
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. There is no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
Aftercare tips
A little care keeps the finish looking good. We recommend:
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Check that an acrylic bath doesn’t move when you stand in it
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Rinse it down after each bath
Don’t leave razors, cans or hair grips in the bath, as they can leave rust marks. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.
A chip on a metal bath shouldn’t be left. Water gets to the metal and rust starts, turning a quick repair into a bigger one.

What we do, step by step
Once we’re through the door, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes a few hours, depending on the damage, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
- We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, normally the day after.
How to prepare
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Clear the area around the damage
How to get a price
Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.
