Bath resealing in Mosspark without replacing anything
All of the old sealant is cut out, treat any mould, and reseal with new mould-resistant silicone. We do this for baths, showers, sinks and worktops, and that includes the awkward spots behind the taps. We’re often asked to fix damp near the bath and gaps by the taps, on kitchen worktops & sinks, basins & vanity units and wet rooms.

What bath resealing costs
There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Access to the area
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Mosspark. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.
How to get a fixed quote
When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:
- One picture of the whole bath or shower
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.
Mosspark questions
Can you reseal over the old silicone?
We always remove the old sealant completely. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.
Why does my sealant keep going mouldy?
Damp is the cause. Run the fan, dry the joints and the new seal stays cleaner for longer.
Is a repair better than a new one?
In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
When can I use the bath after resealing?
We will give you the curing time.
Are you accredited?
We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Is there a call-out fee?
No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so mention it when you send pictures.
Do I need to be at home?
We need someone to let us in. You don’t need to watch us work.
What we can’t put right
We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- A flexing bath
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.
What we work on
- Basins & vanity units
- Wet rooms
- Kitchen worktops & sinks
- Shower trays & enclosures
- Baths
What we’re called out for in Mosspark
A bathroom without good ventilation is hard on sealant: moisture sits on the joints longer, and mould grows faster.

Resealing in Mosspark: why it matters
Sealing over old silicone is a false economy. It soon peels, and mould stays trapped behind it. We remove the old sealant completely. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Work for landlords and builders
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
Looking after it afterwards
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
- Keep bottles off the joints
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
Use the extractor fan, dry the joints after bathing, and give them a regular clean with a mild cleaner to slow mould growth.
Don’t wait until water gets behind the bath. Gaps or lifting edges mean it needs doing.
How the visit works
We begin by going over the job with you, so you know exactly what we’re doing. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and we start. Allow a couple of hours.
- We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
- Old sealant and residue are removed.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- Fresh silicone is applied in a continuous bead.
- The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Have a window or extractor fan available
- Let us know which floor the room is on
- Ensure the area is dry
