Our bath repair service in PE20
A typical bath repair is a few hours’ work, and the bath is back in use the next day. You won’t need a plumber or tiler, because nothing is disconnected. Typical jobs include a cracked acrylic bath and chips caused by builders, in roll-top & freestanding, whirlpool & spa baths and cast iron enamel.
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll get on with it. Most visits take a few hours, depending on the damage.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- Finish coats go on, then the repair is polished to blend in.
- The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the next day.
What you will pay
Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Why clients in PE20 choose us

Local landmarks in Kirton
We visit homes around Church of St Peter and St Paul, The Old King's Head pub and Kirton Primary School and the streets around them. The closest station to Kirton is Boston station, about 3.6 miles north. Nearby you will also find Pilgrim Hospital (4.8 miles north-east) and Frampton Castle (1.3 miles east). For a walk, there is RSPB Frampton Marsh.
Signs you need bath repair
Rust generally starts where water sits, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Once water reaches the steel or iron, rust spreads under the enamel.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- Chips caused by builders
- A hole punched through by something heavy
- Chips on the rim or sides
When we would advise against a repair
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- Cracks in acrylic we cannot reach from underneath
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
DIY repairs versus a professional job
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
Aftercare tips
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Cover the bath during DIY or decorating
- Do not leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
Keep metal objects like razors and cans off the surface, because they can mark the enamel. A dripping tap should be fixed early, too.
Avoid standing in a cracked acrylic bath until it’s fixed. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.

Questions from PE20
Does someone need to be in?
We need someone to let us in. After that, you can carry on with your day.
What areas do you cover?
We cover the entire UK, including PE20 and the rest of Lincolnshire. Just include your postcode and we’ll offer you dates.
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Are there extra charges for PE20?
We do not add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.
Are you accredited?
We’re accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.
Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?
In most cases. We reinforce the crack from behind, then fill and refinish the front, so we need access under the bath.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.
