Bath re-enamelling at your home in Cuckoo's Nest
We re-enamel plenty of period and roll-top baths, which are heavy, hard to move and costly to replace. Doing them in place keeps an original feature. We regularly repair cast iron baths, pressed steel baths and acrylic baths, and people most often call us about a roll-top that’s seen better days and stains that won’t shift.
You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

Your questions about bath re-enamelling in Cuckoo's Nest
Are there extra charges for Cuckoo's Nest?
No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.
Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?
Yes, we do this regularly. Removing the old finish takes extra time, which we include in the price.
How do I get a price for bath re-enamelling in Cuckoo's Nest?
Prices start from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You know the full cost before anything is booked.
Do you work for landlords and businesses?
Yes. We carry out repairs for householders, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses in Cuckoo's Nest.
Do you work in Cuckoo's Nest?
Yes. We cover the entire UK and travel to Cuckoo's Nest and the rest of Flintshire. Send us pictures for a fixed quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
Can you make a coloured bath white?
Yes. Coloured baths can be resurfaced in white, and we can do the rest of the suite as well.

How the visit works
We begin by going over the job with you. After that, protection goes down around the work area and the work begins. Allow most of the day, and we will keep you posted as we go.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- We clean and degrease the bath and repair any chips or rust.
- We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- Several coats of new finish are sprayed on.
- We leave it to cure, and it’s typically ready the following day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Keep a parking space free if you can
How to get a price
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There is no charge for the quote and you’re under no obligation.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Signs you need bath re-enamelling in Cuckoo's Nest
Hard water speeds up the wear, and gritty cleaners are the worst culprits.
Send us a picture if you notice any of these:
- Wear marks under the taps
- A period or roll-top bath worth keeping
- A dull, rough surface that will not come clean
- A coloured bath you want in white
What to look for in a quote
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges

Should you replace it?
A new bath means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the walls and tiles and several days without a working bathroom. Resurfacing renews the entire surface without moving it. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Why book with us

Different materials, different repairs
Acrylic
Acrylic feels warm and is light, but it needs firm support underneath. Cracks are strengthened from behind before the front is finished.
Pressed steel
Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
Looking after it afterwards
How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:
- Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
- Stick to gentle, non-abrasive cleaners
- Keep suction mats out of the bath
- Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it
Give the finish its full curing time before using the bath. Then, gentle cleaning with a soft cloth is enough.
Avoid scrubbing a dull bath with abrasive cleaners. It removes more of the surface.
What bath re-enamelling costs
Prices start from £350. You’ll know the full cost before booking. We take into account:
- The size and number of damaged areas
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- What kind of damage it is
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before you book.
How to get a fixed quote
When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
You do not need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price.
