Bath re-enamelling at your home in Levendale
Cast iron, steel, acrylic, roll-top and period baths can all be resurfaced. The finish is sprayed on in several coats over a bonding primer, after the bath has been cleaned, repaired and keyed. We work on cast iron baths, acrylic baths and pressed steel baths, and the jobs we see most are several chips and rust patches and a bath that stays dull however much you clean it.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

What a repair can’t fix
To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:
- Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
- A metal bath with a through crack
- Steel that has corroded right through
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.
Materials we repair
- Basins & shower trays
- Pressed steel baths
- Acrylic baths
- Victorian roll-tops
- Cast iron baths
Why repair rather than replace?
If you like your bathroom but not your bath’s surface, re-enamelling is the least disruptive fix. Nothing else is disturbed. Prices start from £350. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

The process
You do not need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and get going once we’ve agreed what we’re doing. It usually takes most of the day, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
- Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
- The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
- We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
- The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.
How to prepare
- Keep a parking space free if you can
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
How to get a price

How we price bath re-enamelling
Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job, from your photos. What matters most is:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- Unusual colours or finishes
- How many areas need work
- Whether we combine several jobs
Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Quotes from your photos
We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- Any details about the material
To get a price, send a couple of pictures through our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

A dull surface stains and holds dirt, and scrubbing it wears it down further. That is the point where re-enamelling makes sense.
The things clients typically mention when they call are:
- A peeling or bubbling previous coating
- A period or roll-top bath worth keeping
- A dull, rough surface that won’t come clean
- Lots of chips and rust spots
Questions to ask before you book

Repairs by material
Cast iron
A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that is the part we put right.
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.

Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair won’t last.
For landlords and businesses
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, fixing chips and scratches before handover. We’re CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.
