Bath repair at your home in M50
Whatever has happened to the bath, we aim for the same result: a repair that is smooth, sound and hard to spot. Proper preparation, careful filling and shaping, then colour and gloss matching so it’s level with the surrounding surface. We’re frequently asked to fix chips on the rim or sides and scratches you can feel with a fingernail, in cast iron enamel, roll-top & freestanding and acrylic.
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll take it from there. The job generally runs to a morning or an afternoon.
- First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- We build up the filler in layers, shaping it to the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Cost
Our bath repair starts from £95. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Prices and what affects them
Repairs from £95. A fixed quote means you know the cost before you book. We look at:
- Whether we combine several jobs
- What kind of damage it is
- The colour and finish to match
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
Set against the cost of replacement, repairing generally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Send pictures for a quote
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what to send:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A wider photo showing the entire bath
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You’ll get a fixed quote, not an estimate.
Repairing versus replacing
Replacing a fitted bath normally means a plumber, removing the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and disposing of the old one. Repairing it fixes just the damaged area in a single visit.
What your quote should include
- If travel is included in the price
- What preparation is included
- How changes to the job are handled
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.
When a repair is not the answer
We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair won’t do:
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
Signs you need bath repair
Rust generally starts where water sits, around the waste, under the taps or in an old chip. Water on bare metal causes rust that creeps under the surrounding enamel.
Keep an eye out for any of the following:
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- A chip where the taps sit
- A cracked acrylic bath
- Rusty patches near the plughole

I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?
Yes. We take out the old repair and do it properly. Mention it when you send pictures.
